We started with French onion soup and a dozen oysters on the half shell. The soup was excellent, but the oysters were surprisingly a step above — truly extraordinary. My wife and I consider the oysters at Ironside to be the best in San Diego. Last night, however, the oysters at Bull & Bourbon were even better. The best we’ve had in many years.

“Our first dinner here and it was excellent! My husband and I shared the 30oz Tajima Wagyu Ribeye. We ordered it medium rare and it was prepared to perfection!! For our sides, we had the mashed potatoes and Mexican corn. Both were outstanding, probably the best mashed potatoes we’ve ever had. The Mexican corn was different but very good.
Our waiter Alexander was attentive and responsive and would definitely request to be seated in his section the next time we go back. Get the cheesecake – you won’t be disappointed!! So yummy!! Yes, it is pricey, but you get what you pay for.”
